Tokyo Disneyland Japan
Tokyo Disneyland is a theme park located in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan. It is the first Disney theme park to be built outside of the United States, and opened in 1983. Tokyo Disneyland is the most visited theme park in Asia and the fourth most visited theme park in the world. The park is owned and operated by The Oriental Land Company, with a license from The Walt Disney Company.
Tokyo Disneyland is divided into seven themed lands:
- World Bazaar (再現されたアメリカのメインストリート, Saigen Sareta Amerika no Mein Strīto): This area is modeled after Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, and features shops and restaurants.
Adventureland (アドベンチャーランド, Adobenchārando): This land is themed after exotic jungles and features rides such as Jungle Cruise and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Frontierland (ウエスタンランド, Uesutanrando): This land is themed after the Wild West and features rides such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Mark Twain Riverboat.
Fantasyland (ファンタジーランド, Fantajīrando): This land is themed after classic fairy tales and features rides such as Peter Pan’s Flight and Cinderella’s Castle.
Tomorrowland (トゥモローランド, Tomorōrando): This land is themed after the future and features rides such as Space Mountain and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
Critter Country (クリッターカントリー, Kurittā Kantrī): This land is themed after a critter world and features rides such as Splash Mountain and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
Toontown (トゥーンタウン, Tūntاون): This land is themed after the world of Roger Rabbit and features rides such as Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin and Gadget’s Go Coaster.
Tokyo Disneyland also has two themed hotels: Disney Ambassador Hotel and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. The park is located near the Tokyo Disney Resort Line, a monorail system that connects the park to the hotels and the Maihama Station on the JR East Keiyo Line.
Tokyo Disneyland is a popular tourist destination and is a great place to visit for a day trip or a longer vacation. The park offers a variety of rides, shows, and attractions that are sure to please visitors of all ages.
